Illustrative excerpt · Draft

From Curriculum 06, Called to Contribute: Session 1 opening

Read together: 1 Corinthians 12:12 to 27, and Romans 12:3 to 8.

Facilitator: Paul describes the church as one body with many parts. No part can say it is not needed, and no part can say another is not needed. Before we talk about what we do, notice what Paul says first: each person has been placed in the body on purpose.

Discuss: Where have you seen someone quietly strengthen a group without being noticed? What made their contribution matter?

Daily practice, day one: Each day this week, notice one person whose presence helps others, and thank them in a simple way.

This short sample is illustrative only and may change after review. Read passages in the translation your church uses.
