What You Receive

Author reading, fifteen minutes

Selections from the opening birth story and the chapters on directness, missed signals, and dependence.

Moderated conversation, fifteen minutes

A local librarian, physician, professor, author, or civic leader interviews the author and interprets local context.

Guided reflection and community workshop, thirty five minutes

The Breath Inventory, the Mountain Map, and the Rope Team Exercise, all completed on paper.

Community voices and signing, twenty five minutes

One local five minute story, open questions, then a staffed signing with an organized line and a clear closing time.

Before You Invite Us

Will the program proselytize?

No. The author's faith is part of her lived story and is presented as memoir. The exercises are open to every participant regardless of belief.

What are the technical needs?

A microphone for rooms above roughly sixty seats, a small table, and optional projection. Printed worksheets are supplied.

Can the program be livestreamed?

Yes, where your policy permits and where separate consent for recording is collected from participants.

How is book sales handled if we cannot sell on site?

A Friends of the Library organization or a partnering independent bookstore may manage sales, or signing may be offered for copies patrons already own.
