CONVERGENCE Q45The Convergence Q45 Mission

For Readers, Book Clubs, and Small Groups

Forty Five Chapters. Five Movements. One Borrowed Breath.

Before Dr. Sherry-Ann Brown could speak, other hands fought for her first breath. This is the story of what that breath became, and of everyone required to carry it.

The offer

What This Gathering Includes

Part one, Breath

Nine chapters from before the first cry to a life received.

Part two, Heart

Nine chapters on the organ that keeps time, medicine as proximity, and the heart of the healer.

Part three, Voice

Nine chapters on directness, missed signals, mistakes, repair, and a voice refined by love.

Part four, Field

Nine chapters on one river and many streams, systems that carry care, and fifty states as one field.

Part five, Mountain

Nine chapters from these forty five years to the breath we carry together.

Why now

What This Answers for Readers and Reading Circles

Memoirs that flatter their subject

This one records blunt edges, blind spots, naive trust, fatigue, mistakes, and repair alongside the achievement.

Books that end when the reading ends

Each movement includes reflection prompts, and the Reading Circle guide turns the book into six weeks of conversation.

Faith writing that avoids the body

Cardiology, cancer survivorship, data, and dependence sit together with Scripture rather than beside it.

What You Can Expect

  • Forty five chapters of roughly nine hundred to thirteen hundred words each
  • Reading Circle guide with prompts for all five movements
  • Author virtual visits available for circles of twelve or more

Questions asked most often

Before You Invite Us

Do I need to be religious to read this?

No. Faith is part of the author's life and appears honestly. The questions the book asks belong to anyone with a mountain in front of them.

Is there a workbook?

Yes. The Field Guide is a distinct companion workbook built around the Breath Inventory, the Mountain Map, and the Rope Team.

Can our book club meet the author?

Virtual visits are available for circles of twelve or more, scheduled around the Field Year route.

How long does a Reading Circle take?

Six weeks is the recommended rhythm, one movement per week with an opening and a closing session.
