CONVERGENCE Q45The Convergence Q45 Mission
A desert bush alight with crimson and gold radiance at dusk, the branches unconsumed

The Burning Bush

Turn Aside. Pay Attention. Respond Faithfully.

The Burning Bush is a Convergence Live Lab, journal system, and digital application. It helps a person notice when an ordinary moment keeps drawing their attention.

Stop

Attention came before assignment

Moses was doing ordinary work when he saw a bush burning and turned aside to look.

Exodus 3
  1. Step 1

    Moses was doing ordinary work.

  2. Step 2

He saw a bush burning, and the bush was not being destroyed.

  3. Step 3

    Moses turned aside to look.

  4. Step 4

God spoke, and the place became holy ground.

  5. Step 5

God showed care for people and gave Moses an assignment.

  6. Step 6

God promised to be with him.

  7. Step 7

Then the conversation moved to the staff already in his hand.

Attention came before assignment.

Listen

Six movements of attention

These are the same movements the Convergence Quotient 45 framework walks: hear, discern, respond, steward. Take them slowly. Nothing here is a test.

New to discernment? Read How I Learned to Hear God.

Attend

What really happened? What drew my attention? What was happening inside me? Was I tired, afraid, excited, hurt, or under pressure?

Remember

Has something like this happened before? Does it connect with an earlier season? Is there a repeated question? Does a person or memory keep returning?

Receive

Save the exact word, image, Scripture, memory, body feeling, burden, thought, or circumstance.

Discern

Separate perception, association, interpretation, application, counsel, and time.

Respond

Choose one fitting action: pray, write, ask, wait, call someone, serve, seek counsel, rest, or take one small step.

Steward

Return later to record fruit, correction, new facts, support, changes, open questions, and completion.

Things that commonly cause the pause

  • an email
  • a conversation
  • a memory
  • a dream
  • an image
  • a person
  • a changed schedule
  • a repeated question
  • a Scripture
  • a strong inner pause
  • an ordinary task that suddenly feels important

Record

Write the moment down while it is fresh

Everything you write here is kept privately on this device, and only you can see it. You may download your record, delete it, or carry a single moment into your Mission Map when you choose to.

Where you were, roughly when, and what you were ordinarily doing.

An email, a conversation, a memory, an image, a person, a Scripture, a strong inner pause.

The exact first words, picture, or question, before later thinking reshapes it.

Scripture, an earlier word, a memory, a person, a symbol, or a past season.

List more than one. Nothing here has to be settled today.

Gifts, formation, tools, relationships, and fields of service you already carry.

Sleep, food, pain, grief, pressure, joy, peace. A strong body feeling is recorded as a body feeling.

Who could help you weigh this well.

Something small enough to begin within seven days.

Add a context, a trigger, or a first impression to save.

Relationships and Support

Care for the whole person

Body, heart, and mind belong in the record

  • sleep
  • food
  • water
  • pain
  • medication effects
  • fatigue
  • fear
  • grief
  • excitement
  • conflict
  • loneliness
  • pressure
  • mental overload
  • prayer
  • Scripture
  • peace
  • support needs

A strong feeling in the body is recorded as a body feeling. It is not automatically called a message from God. The app tells users to seek proper medical, mental health, pastoral, or emergency care when needed.

The commission

Three things to carry away

  1. Preserve one burning bush moment.

  2. Speak with one trusted person when helpful.

  3. Complete one fitting act of faithful response.

Turn aside. Listen. Carry what is entrusted.

Reflective and prophetic content is offered as an invitation to prayer, wise counsel, preparation, and accountable decision-making. This page is not clinical care, mental health care, or an emergency service. Please seek proper medical, mental health, pastoral, or emergency help when it is needed.
